Tropical Aquarium!

Anyone got one or a Marine tanks, pros and cons would be good from anyone?

I've always thought one would be cool more so for fish than reptiles.
The only thing that puts me off getting one is the cost to run it and the up keep to make it stay nice and pretty (I don't have enough time to do normal stuff around the house let alone care for a tank).

But hay that's just my 2 cents worth Wink

Tropical are quite easy to look after its the marine fish that are trouble!! i've had a tropical aquarium before and that was pretty simple to look after!!!

Well i did it, bought a hand carved Oak setup, it looks the dogs, just got to research the correct stock now Very Happy

I don't see any pics scratch

Did you get it for fish?

Some of the tropical fish are orsume colours.

Ive had tropical fish in the past, but my goal is to have marine some day.
I have heard that they are a lot of upkeep tho Suspect

Me 2, would love the marine but I couldn't put that time in, so I've gone for the African Cichlids , IMO the next best thing :)

I have never heard of them before..... I have just done a quick search and found a video of some..... they look great. Are they hard to keep then steve?

They are very easy bud, the only thing is they are aggressive so you have to keep just them and maybe a bottom feeder, but apart from that you just clean the tank as usual, so it makes for an easy life and you get something very exotic, not quite marine but they are a very close second withought the cost grin

Thanks DC, very easy, feed twice a day and clean once a week which takes an hour grin
